Mustard Seed Calgary & The Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter Need Our Help

Now that we’ve logged another year, it’s time for us to take stock of all that has happened over the past 365 days.

I know if you’re anything like me, you reflected on 2016, the ups the downs, the political issues, the economic issues, and you felt an overwhelming sense of uncertainty about the future of Alberta. That is why this year I have decided to look forward with a positive disposition, starting off by using my position as a mortgage specialist at the Mortgage Group to help out a couple of my favourite charities. Maybe you can help me help them?

calgary mustard seedIn the past I've always found ways to extend my personal interests into my work interests. Or is it the other way around? Either way, if I can find a way to weave my work-life into the fabric of the community in a positive way then I view that as an opportunity to keep my work a healthy and happy part of my overall life (not that I don't already love what I do). That is why I look for ways to mix business with pleasure, or in this case, mix business with a couple of my favourite charities, The Mustard Seed (@mustardseedyyc) and the Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter (@end_abuse).

At the end of the day, I am still a mortgage specialist so I can't help but talk at least a little about mortgage rates and what the future may hold, and this will makes sense because it ties directly in with how I'm helping these charities this year.

For Canadians, mortgage rates have been fairly stable but with the new mortgage stress test rules, political volatility at the Federal and Provincial levels, strife over climate change, and uneasy U.S. political and financial horizon, I know that Albertan's are really looking hard at their own financial futures, and for many that means asking the question, when is the right time to buy a new home?

In addition, and perhaps more importantly, beyond purchasing a new home, you may be one of the 1.39 Million Albertans who currently own a home which means you're asking the question, what should I be doing with my existing mortgage?

These are definitely the questions to be asking right now because you have options that may be better suited for you given today's financial landscape.

That's where I come in and that's where my charities also come in. Let's do some planning around mortgage renewals, refinancing your home, or changing your mortgage product to something more suited to your current financial situation. It only takes a quick free consultation to get started and that's how you can help me help my charities.

calgary women's emergency shelterTo be clear, I am not asking you to make a donation to my charities. Rather, this year I will be taking a portion of all fees brought in through any mortgage business I conduct and donating them to the Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter and The Mustard Seed. Of course your consultation is 100% free, but should that turn into you moving forward with me because it makes sense, then everyone wins!

So if you're ready to get your 2017 off on the right foot with some professional advice about how to best structure your mortgage, what your options are, or of course, when to buy a new home, then I'm your expert! Let's get you in for a free consult to get started.
